Mango Massage is one of the many erotic massage parlors in Bangkok. Despite the convenient location right off of Sukhumvit Road the place struggles to stand out. That’s despite the place being described as a PSE style shop by some admirers.
In many major cities the erotic massage scene could be described as limited. In some cities even that would be generous. But Bangkok is a place that is swimming in places to get a massage. I have reviewed dozens of massage places in the city. And I’ve only scratched the surface.
There are probably close to 100 sensual massage venues in the city of Bangkok. That’s on top of the hundreds of “mainstream” Thai massage shops where extras are often offered in secret. So to say there is a large sensual adult massage scene would be an understatement.
There is also a rather large market for erotic massage. So most of the massage parlors are able to stay in business. Some absolutely thrive. Others just sort of limp on. But most fall somewhere in the middle. The rules of supply and demand might suggest that the mere presence of a business means it must be offering a service people want. I think the story might go a little deeper.
Location and layout
Mango Massage is located on Sukhumvit Soi 24. Or to be more precise the shop is located in the U-shaped alley just off of Soi 24 near the intersection with Sukhumvit Road. When coming from Sukhumvit Road the shop can be reached by taking the second left hand turn.
As soon as you enter the alley there you will see many massage parlors. Mango Massage has two clear signs with English lettering. One is over the doorway. The other sticks out into the alley. So it’s easy to find even in the midst of so much else.
Through two sliding glass doors you find yourself in the moderate looking lobby. Nothing special here. Just some seating over a tiled floor. The front desk staff is nice enough. They’re also quick to call for a lineup of the ladies on staff.
The rooms themselves are again nothing to write home about. They barely stand out enough for me to write about them here. But in order to give a full overview of the place it helps to describe the situation. The equipment is there. A shower for washing and a bed for the main activity. But that’s about as far as it goes.
Staff, services, prices and summary
On paper Mango has a significant number of women on staff. In practice there are usually just a handful of women on call at any given moment. They tend to be about average in the looks department. Though there are always some exceptions. Each standout at Mango Massage is offset by a more homely lady. Though of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And you can’t judge a book by its cover. So there could be some hidden gems in the mix.
Service at Mango Massage is pretty straightforward. I’ve heard people say this place is on par with shops like Snow White and Tulip in regards to service. Frankly I do not know what that idea is based on. From what I’ve seen this place offers a more or less standard version of full service.
The prices at Mango Massage are more or less on par for the local industry. The cheapest “Short Time” full service session runs 1600 Baht ($46 USD). A more thorough 1 hour session with shower and massage added on costs 2200 Baht ($63 USD). The most expensive package is a 90 minute full service session with two ladies. That costs 5500 Baht ($159 USD) but allows for two shots. There is apparently a surcharge for anal service too. Though I don’t know how many ladies even offer that.
Mango Massage has been around for a while. It has a certain reputation among some Bangkok residents. I am not really impressed by the place. From what I have seen it just another run of the mill massage parlor in a sea of competition. It’s not a bad place. It just isn’t anything special considering the area. If Mango was the only joint in the city it might seem better. Since it is surrounded by so many good parlors I give the place two-and-a-half stars.
