Som’s Haven is yet another blowjob bar in operation in the Thai capital of Bangkok that opened about a year ago. With so many blowjob bars around it can be difficult for one to stand out over the other. So how does Som’s manage?
Som’s is owned by none other than Som herself. Who would have guessed right? As you might imagine, Som is a former blowjob bar employee who decided to branch out on her own. This is not an entirely novel concept. It’s happened plenty of times before, in the pecker polishing pub field as in many others.
What’s special about Som’s Haven
What sets Som’s suck shop apart is her willingness to make sure the customer has a good time. She is an average looking Thai lady who seems to hang around the place during all opening hours. Som can usually be found right behind the counter, welcoming customers as they enter and asking them how things were as they settle their tabs on the way out.
A friend in Thailand has complimented Som’s “hands on” orientation when informing me about this place. I sort of hoped that meant she would put her hands down my pants when I entered. You never know, it is after all Thailand. Unfortunately that never happened.
Beyond Som herself, who I’m quite sure is no longer available for mouth-to-meat services, the place is pretty standard. Small pluses include the English-speaking ability of nearly everyone on staff and the cleanliness of the shop. Another positive feature is the presence of small sinks in all of the service rooms (similar to Dr BJ’s).
The staff
The small but suitable staff waits outside for customers to approach. When they do they can either chose a girl on their own or simply take whoever is next in the lineup.
The women who work here are a varied mix. Most are at least somewhat attractive. The oldest is approaching 40 years in age but still looks quite nice. Strangely enough she doesn’t have a lot of experience in the industry, coming into the game late in life. Anyone on staff should be able to satisfy all, uh… comers.
When you step inside you’d be forgiven for thinking the action takes place right there. Booth-type seating that looks a lot like what you’d see in a Japanese blowjob bar like Jan Jan is laid out in two rows. Alas, this is not Star of Light. It’s Som’s, and here, like Lolita’s, the action takes place upstairs.
Unlike Lolita’s, the Haven of Som has individual rooms available for clients and their service providers. No chairs with curtains around them. The rooms are quite big considering what they are to be used for. They’re also well maintained and Som has gone as far as to decorate them with small pieces of art. A nice touch that gives you something to look at other than the ceiling or a bobbing noggin.
Prices and summary
The prices are about what you would expect. It’s 700 Baht ($23 USD) a go. You can have a drink either before or after your session at a reasonable price, but there’s no pressure to do so even though Som and the staff seem to like to entertain in the main area of the bar.
If there’s any real downside to Som’s it would have to be the location though I guess that would depend on who you ask. It’s an easy place to find, just down the first alley to the right once you walk down Soi 14 from Sukhumvit Road. It just so happens to be next to the extremely popular Suda restaurant though. For me it’s no issue. I walk right in and right out. No biggie. For others it may be a matter of shame. Luckily for those chaps Som’s seems to have thought of everything. Just walk down the next (very quiet) alley to the right and enter through the back door with none of the diners any the wiser. If the door is locked a light knock will get it opened quicker than you can say “spit shine.”
As a quality hands free bar in Bangkok offering a good level of service from a pretty quality staff, I think Som’s Haven deserves a solid three stars. Some may find even find it a little better depending on their criteria. It’s really no worse than Dr. BJ’s, which I gave 4 stars in an earlier review. Som’s is actually more comfortable. The main difference is that BJ’s has a huge staff while Som’s staff is pretty small, though that’s probably by design. I have to account for that.
Note: Som’s Haven has closed. Another shop called Duangporn’s Haven with the same owner opened in a nearby location. It offers the same services.

For a short while, Som’s Haven had a real classy lady in her 30’s working there. She was too nice to be in the industry and I was lucky to see her a couple of times before she left. Som seems a genuine type, and always has a smile for you. Their website seems to have disappeared.
If she was there 3 or 4 months ago I think I know who you are talking about and your description is quite accurate. I just visited Som’s place for the 3rd time after reading your review and now it’s official,……. her shop if my new favorite. It’s not the closest place to my residence, but I think it’s definitely worth the commute. Simply put, all 3 visits were extraordinary experiences with no pressure, attractive & very accommodating girls in a very comfortable room with a queen-size bed and private shower. A great investment for very fond memories.

Visited Som on my 1st Trip last year. She is a real lady, i had a few great chats with her, and she has an open ear for all your preferences, If you tell her what and how you like it she chooses exactly the right girl for you. Customer care is a big deal for her so dont be surprised if she wants to know exactly what happened upstairs when you come back. Dont be shy to tell her every detail, this is the way how she finds out about the weak, strenght and style of every girl and builds the base to choose the right girl for the customer preferences. HI….Som is definitely my favorite BJ bar. She knows how to entertain a customer and have fun. Buy her and the girls a few drinks and they will be treat you very well. I have never had pressure to buy Som or her staff a drink, but always do (in fact I usually buy 3-4 drinks each), usually spending about 2,000 when I go there.
If you are nice and generous to them and go often, Som will treat more like a friend and will repay you back with superior service. For example, I always get a big hug from Som when I arrive. She also knows that I like to be polished downstairs, so she will lock the door (if I request it) and will go outside or stay and have a drink with me while her girl takes care of me. On several ocassions, when I was in a ‘naughty mood’, she even invited the girls from outside to sit in a watch, and on two occassions got me a second girl for free.
Ok…so I am a regular (once a week or so when in Thailand) and usually never spend less than 2,000 Baht, but many other places would not give you that extra customer service.
If you are ever heading out there, let me know. I will buy you a drink. For me part of the fun is meeting the other ex pats while drinking and holding on to a beautiful young lady, or even having one polish me while we discuss world event. Crazy….yeah…but fun!

Som’s is high on my list but as you pointed out, they employ a small number of women so finding someone who appeals to your eyes can be challenging. I think everyone agrees that Som is a very warm person and pleasant to talk to. Of course, her English is very good. I usually go to Som’s and to Lolitas when I’m in town. I rarely repeat places when i am staying short in Thailand. But Som’s made me break that rule. I ended up going twice in a day to her bar.
Her shop i withing walking distance of BTS Asok (and BTS Nana too) but seems to be rather well hidden.
In fact when I first went in and asked for a girl, Som demanded how did I find her place!
Overall a very nice place. with oodles of character. its more like a tiny boutique shop than a BJ bar.

I told her i found her place recommended at many internet sites.
One of the main reasons why I love her place over a lot of other places is that I was welcome there as any other while male might be. Hi Rockit, thanks for your reply – I don’t seem to remember the Wild Country bar, where was that located ? Another distinct factor that I notice about the bj bars is the prices. Open services aren’t as easy to come by and they are often more toned but they’re still around if you know where to look. I don’t know what a case of beer goes for in Australia but the price of services in BJ bars has increased. The charge is still reasonable and the increase doesn’t even seem to have kept up with the rate of inflation so things aren’t so bad. Hi Rockit, I finally made it to Soms Haven bj bar the other day – chose a lovely girl about 24 and went upstairs to one of the rooms. I headed over to Som’s about a week ago. Went inside, got myself a beer and the girl working inside told me I could go sit outside and choose who I liked. I just left there May 7, 2016 around 11pm and I can not believe how horrible it was. The girl grabbed me as I was walking up and ushered me in to pay. On our way up the stairs to the room she seemed extremely annoyed. I asked if she was ok she responded with a stare and pointed me to the room. I should have asked for a different girl.
