Zen Massage is a very unique onsen massage parlor in Bangkok. I have been reviewing massage parlors in Thailand and all over the world for 13 years. I can’t say I have ever seen anything quite like Zen Massage.
Onsens are natural hot springs found all over Japan. While they often serve as backdrops to Japanese adult videos, the truth is that they are non-sexual. There are now numerous “onsen” options in Bangkok. Most are simply bath houses where customers can soak in piped-in hot water to relax.
Zen Massage doesn’t use a natural onsen spring. But it is definitely sexual. So what you get here is a hybrid between the onsen and the erotic massage parlor. The result is something both relaxing and stimulating.
The place is a real standout in otherwise crowded local industry filled with clone shops. There is nothing like Zen Massage in Bangkok. In fact I haven’t seen anything like anywhere else in the world either.
Zen Massage on Soi 20
Zen Massage is located in the small L-shaped alley that connects Sukhumvit Soi 20 and Sukhumvit Road proper. This little street is now lined with massage parlors. Though most follow a similar model. Zen Massage is a place all its own.
The shop is easy to find thanks to a large red illuminated sign that clearly says “ZEN” in English. Inside there is a small reception area with a desk where you can book and pay for your appointment.
Once you past the front desk you can go upstairs into the various different rooms. They have standard shower rooms, VIP rooms for soapy and nuru massages, and of course the aforementioned onsen room.
The onsen setup is particularly notable, with a very large wooden tub that can fit several people. No wonder they offer an onsen service with two ladies! There is a bed next to the tub too. So action can move over to the dry space with ease.
Staff, services and summary
There are a few different options on the menu at Zen Massage. In my mind the onsen massage is by far the most interested. It allows you to soak and have fun with a lady in the purpose built onsen tub. The water is mixed with a Japanese product that creates a slippery and lubricating sensation. It’s really something to experience. A 70 minute session in the onsen room costs 2700 Baht ($83 USD).
Of course other more straightforward options are available here too. A 30 minute full service session costs just 1800 Baht ($55 USD). 40 minutes in the VIP room runs 2500 Baht. Zen Massage even offers outcall service by sending ladies directly to your room.
Services are performed by over a dozen ladies on the roster. Some of the women are displayed on the shop’s website. Others can be seen in person. Overall it’s a team of attractive and talented Thai ladies in their 20’s and perhaps early 30’s.
The management is customer oriented and it shows in the way the shop is run. The gals who work at Zen Massage are good looking and skilled at erotic massage. It makes for a great combination.
Erotic massage is nothing new in Bangkok. The sort of onsen massage offered at Zen Massage is. But there is more than novelty to this place. It’s a professionally operated facility that truly delivers. I am happy that this place has come along. Five stars!
