Soapy massage in Pattaya is done in large establishments staffed by women who offer bathing, soapy body-to-body massage, and full service sex to customers. Pattaya is known as one of the largest centers of sex work in the world. Although there have been efforts by some to turn the town into a more family friendly resort area, venues like the large soapies serve as anchors to the local economy.
The soapy massage shops in Pattaya are houses in large and gaudy buildings that almost look like casinos. Though a closer examination gives a good idea of what is inside. These are no secret underground shops. Instead they are blatant and obvious erotic massage parlors aimed mainly at Pattaya’s many tourists.
In case words like “body massage” in the name doesn’t fill in passersby, some of Pattaya’s soapy massage parlors even put up signs around the exterior that say things like “try our 3 chicks triple fun massage”. That along with pictures of women in sexy outfits ought to get the message across.
Inside Pattaya’s soapy massage parlors women are seated on bleachers where they wait to be selected by customers. These specially-trained masseuses get naked and provide sexual services to clients in private rooms. Some of the elaborate exteriors are indicative of high end quarters inside. In other cases it is all a facade as interior rooms are run down and dreary. Still everyone gets what they pay for: full-service full body massage.
How soapy massage works, and what it costs
At a soapy massage parlor you typically enter and take a seat in a large lounge area. A manager comes out to greet you. You are asked to select one or more of the available women who site behind glass in what some refer to as the “fish bowl” area. The women in the soapies wear numbered badges. Each woman has her own number. The color of the badge often indicates the price of a woman’s time.
Managers can explain the current rates as they vary from one place to the next. These days you can expect to pay between 2000 and 4000 Baht ($58-114 USD) for a soapy massage session in Pattaya. You pay up front, before you head to your room. The price is given in advance and it is all inclusive.
At the very least, private rooms in the soapies usually include a large bed and bathtub. The better parlors have elaborate rooms and big jetted tubs. Some even have wet areas with inflatable mats where nuru massage can be performed.
The idea and intent at a soapy massage parlor is that a woman of your choosing will cover her body with soapy suds or nuru gel and slide all over you. In reality a lot of the Pattaya soapy performers simply give you a quick wash and some mechanical sex.
The 5 soapy massage parlors in Pattaya today
I have been reporting on soapy massage parlors in Pattaya since 2013. I first wrote a review of Honey Massage on Soi Pattaya Sai Song 11 some twelve years ago. That venue is still open, though it is now called “Honey Body Massage 1”. Indeed people even refer to the street it is located on as “Soi Honey”. Another Honey Body Massage since opened near the Terminal 21 shopping mall. Add to that the newer Grand Honey 3 nearer to Walking Street and you can see that Honey has expanded over the last decade.
Some other Pattaya soapy massage parlors have not faired as well. The massive Rasputin soapy massage complex closed its doors during the global travel freeze. Meanwhile Sabai Room shut down and the building that housed it was completely demolished. All together there are just five soapy massage parlors in Pattaya today.
The full list of soapy massage parlors in Pattaya open in 2025 includes:
It may seem like there is a lively soapy massage scene in town. Indeed there are quite a few establishments considering the size of the city. Yet at least two of the established soapies focus largely on group tourists from Asian countries. So the experienced single male traveler may find much to be desired. Although Pattaya’s soapies are also known to service couples and even solo females they don’t always receive rave reviews from those demographics either.
The big five parlors aren’t the option for slippery soapy massage in Pattaya. As is often the case some of the best services and prices can be found away from the most obvious tourist haunts. As they say, all that glimmers is not gold.
Other options for soapy massage in Pattaya
Pattaya does not have a massive soapy massage scene like Bangkok. Instead more of the action in Thailand’s “Sin City” is focused on bars. The agogos are probably the biggest draw in town. After that are the myriad of smaller beer bars and specialty venues. Still there are promising signs for soapy massage fans in town.
The most promising development in years for Pattaya’s body-to-body massage fans has to be the grand opening of the new Nuru House. Located just a short walk from Walking Street, this place offers a 60 minute soapy massage in a VIP Jacuzzi Suite that is sure to please. With a higher quality service and better caliber of women it looks like this soapy massage parlor may be a game changer.
It looks like the sensual massage scene may finally be taking off in town. While the countless little shops have been scattered around for many years it is only now that a truly professional approach seems to be emerging. It is about time.
Bangkok and Pattaya are obviously different places. But I have always found it a little strange that Bangkok is home to so many amazing massage parlors while the scene in Pattaya is so much more limited.
As my reporting from far off parts of Isaan should have shown, one is never far from an erotic massage in Thailand. Though finding a high quality soapy massage from attractive and skilled women is not always so simple. At least not away from Bangkok. These days things are starting to change. So Pattaya may soon become a soapy massage hot spot right alongside the capital city.
I remember Sabai room. Huge place, the long hallways upstairs reminded me of the Hotel in Hangover 2..Cheers.
It was definitely a large place. Though perhaps not well maintained. Cheers!
