Review: Don Quixote in Bangkok, Thailand

Don Quixote is an erotic massage parlor on Sukhumvit Soi 26 in Bangkok. It opened in the summer of 2019. I first reviewed it then. I am now updating my review to reflect changes and improvements.

The word is definitely out on Don Quixote. It’s a popular place with a good reputation. On most nights the place is busy with customers coming in and out. Yet it is not overcrowded.

There are now more massage parlors in Bangkok than anyone can keep track of. I have reviewed dozens of these sensual shops over the years. And I plan to continue.

I do like to focus on the standouts though. Don Quixote is a top-quality Korean managed Asian-style massage parlor, which in part helps explain why it is notable in an otherwise crowded market.

Don Quixote massage on Soi 26

Don Quixote is located on the left side of Soi 26 when traveling from Sukhumvit Road. It is just a few hundred meters away from the main intersection. The shop is rather easy to find. It is somehow both discreet and glaringly obvious.

How’s that? There are several signs out front of Don Quixote marking the location. The words “nuru gel” even appear on the signage. Yet the windows are tinted and the entrance is set back off of the street.

Inside the shop there is a large white lobby. It’s maintained by a multi-lingual Thai gal who warmly welcomes her customers. She also explains the services better than anyone I have seen in any shop of the kind in Thailand.

This female manager goes over the various services and prices, then pulls out a photobook filled with pictures of the women on staff. But the front-end service doesn’t end there.

Prices and services

As the manager shows each photograph, she points out things about the ladies. She might say “this woman is very good at back massage”. Or, “she has very big natural boobs”.

Some may find this a little forward. But since it’s all quite honest I don’t think most would have any issue. It’s more of a informational thing than a hard sell. And the information is useful.

There are various types of sessions and rooms available at Don Quixote. The cheapest option is a 30 minute handjob for 2000 Baht. The cheapest full service option spans 40 minutes in a regular room. It costs 2400 Baht and includes a shower, blowjob and full service. On the top end, a ninety minute session in a with two shots costs 4200 Baht.

Other sessions are also available. Payment is required up front, which seems to be more common in Bangkok massage shops these days. The place is trustworthy though, so it’s no big deal.

Women at Don Quixote

There are several women working at Don Quixote. In my personal view, they are all quite attractive. Many have had some augmentation, but there are a few who are all natural.

Although the shop uses the photobook method of showing who is on staff, they are pretty honest. What you see is what you get, for the most part. In some cases, the ladies actually look much better in person. Some of the photos on the Don Quixote website are completely accurate and apparently unedited.

Of course the look of the ladies overall is skewed towards what East Asian customers tend to like. That means lots of light skinned ladies who are usually thin.

I haven’t seen any brown Isaan women working at Don Quixote. Nor any old or overweight ladies, which are actually seen with some frequency in other nearby massage parlors these days.

Massage and happy endings

The rooms at the shop are quite nice. The only downside is that some of them require quite a climb to reach as they are on the upper levels of the building. Still the air conditioners are new and functional. So it’s nice and cool inside. And everything else is clean and as it should be.

The ladies are of course the main draw. The vast majority seem to be experienced in the industry. They know how to take the lead. They also know their way around the male anatomy.

That is not to say they are clock watchers at all. In fact the manager will actually show some concern if a session ends before the time is out. So they clearly aim for customer satisfaction here.

Don Quixote doesn’t follow the Japanese soapland mold. It is more like a Thai soapy massage parlor, yet on a smaller scale. There is a certain East Asian vibe that comes off too. Which is a good thing.

Overall Don Quixote is a nice shop with attractive and attentive ladies on staff. The prices might be higher than the typical Thai oily massage parlor, but only slightly. Since you get so much more here it seems worth it. Five stars.
