Cat Flaps is one of many gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya. These closed door clubs are staffed by women who work to please customers inside. They are like bars with a little more activity on premises. They are also a lot less expensive than places like go go bars. Once known most by long timers and permanent residents the gent’s clubs have been growing in number in recent years.
Of all the clubs in Pattaya Cat Flaps is honestly one of the best looking. Clearly a lot of thought has been given into turning the villas style building that houses the club into a real fun house. From what I can tell the owners put a lot of thought and money into opening this bar. It shows.
I can’t say I love the name of this bar. Still its suggestive nature sort of does fit the place nicely. Cat Flaps offers a mix of privacy and openness that can only really be found in these kinds of establishments.
You may have heard of this bar before. Cat Flaps has done a bit more advertising and promotion than most other gentlemen’s clubs. You can find some pictures of ladies working at Cat Flaps online. Just be sure to take it all with a grain of salt. At any place like this you don’t really know what to expect until you show up. Things can change from one day to the next.
CatFlaps gentlemen’s club
Cat Flaps is located in Pratumnak between Soi 4 and Soi 5. It is about 10 minutes from Pattaya’s famous Walking Street by vehicle. Walking would take much longer. The bar is open at 1:00 in the afternoon but it closes up shop a bit early at 9:00 PM. This isn’t too strange for a gentlemen’s club as these places tend to be more focused on day time activity. They are also popular retreats for guys who live locally and want to step out for a few hours during the day.
Once in the area the bar is pretty easy to find. It is housed in a white building behind a gate. There are clear signs on both the building and the wall around the place. If the gate is open so is the bar.
Inside you find one of the best equipped gents clubs in all of Pattaya. There is a large round bar that is somewhat reminiscent of Pirate’s on Soi Bongkot 8. Though it looks like more was put into the design and decor here.
Cat Flaps has a good amount of comfortable booth seating around that allows for just enough privacy. The tables have lights built into them which makes for a pretty cool look. Curtained off areas are a little more discrete. Obviously the private rooms give the most in terms of seclusion for those who want it. They come complete with beds and en suite showers.
Staff, services, and summary
You can find around two dozen women working inside Cat Flaps on a good day. The ladies range in looks. Most are probably in their late twenties or thirties and of average attractiveness. A couple are real standouts. Overall the gals here are friendly and good enough at what they do. They also wear a revolving set of uniforms including tight dresses and bikinis from one day to the next. That’s quite nice.
The only problem in regards to staff at Cat Flaps is that the place can get busy at times. It’s not unheard for a man to walk inside and find most or even all of the ladies occupied with customers. I don’t know about you but I am not a big fat of drinking alone in a Pattaya bar.
Cat Flaps runs promotions including free food, drink specials, beer cards that allow you to score free drinks and probably more. I can’t fault any of this. The management is taking an active role in promoting their club. Good on them! At the same time I can’t help but wonder if this might be drawing in too many men in relation to the number of women working the bar. It might not be best for business but I admit that I enjoy bars where the women outnumber the men. When it’s the other way around I start looking for the door.
Despite being one of the more elaborate clubs in the city the prices are very fair. Soft drinks are just 50 Baht while a bottle of local beer runs 90 Baht. Regular lady drinks cost 155 Baht. A double tequila shot costs 300 Baht. The price for that is especially good considering the gals drop their tops when they receive a double shot. As per usual for a local place of this sort the ladies ask 500 Baht ($14 USD) for oral or 1000 Baht for full service. Use of a private room costs 400 Baht more.
Cat Flaps is definitely one of the best designed gentelmen’s clubs in the city. The rates are right where they should be too. The staff may leave a little something to be desired and the location is out of the way. But for this sort of club the place is pretty well run. Although Cat Flaps closes early it is a nice spot for an afternoon delight. Considering all of that while also taking some of the local competition into account I think Cat Flaps deserves three stars.
