Asian Massage is another of the many massage parlors in Siem Reap. There are different types of massage shops in the city ranging from fly-by-night shacks to large spa complexes that operate around the clock. Asian Massage is one of the regular mainstream style shops that are fairly common.
In fact these kinds of shops are so common that one can almost blend into another. That’s especially true in this case. Just a block down there is another shop called “Asian Massage”. Or at least that’s what the sign in front says in English. I don’t know what the official name is. Assuming there actually is any official name at all.
That other Asian Massage is next to a money exchange and across the street from a grocer. The place under review here is one block further north and across the street from a mall. This Asian Massage also has a sign that says “Asian Massage” in English. But it neighbors other massage shops. It’s not really as confusing as it might sound.
Especially nowadays. The effects of the pandemic have driven the vast majority of massage parlors in Siem Reap out of business. Most massage shops sit empty. Only a few have continued to operate the entire time. Asian Massage is one.
Asian Massage in Siem Reap
Asian Massage is located on Sivutha Boulevard. The front of Asian Massage is like any other shop of the sort. The masseuses sit inside when waiting for customers. In the lobby there are rows of chair for foot massages. The body and oil massages take place in rooms upstairs. Like most massage parlors in Cambodia there is a climb up a dangerous and uneven flight of stairs to access the private rooms.
A one hour oil massage costs 10 US dollars at Asian Massage. This is pretty standard for the immediate area. There are other places that charge less like the aforementioned shacks and the previously reviewed Ka Ka Massage. This is paid on the way out as is the norm.
One thing does stand out about this shop and the others nearby. They offer four hand massage. That’s normal in some other parts of the world including even some areas of the United States. But in Cambodia it’s rare outside of some places in the capital. Still it sounds more appealing than it actually is. This is no Cyrcee. Even women who do offer hand relief are unlikely to do it with another gal watching.
The rooms are private with sliding doors. They are fairly small but big enough for the task at hand. Each room has a few mattresses on the ground along with some towels. The windows are covered and there are air conditioners to keep things cool and keep the mosquitoes away from the customers.
Staff, service and summary
There are at least three women working Asian Massage in Siem Reap. They are experienced masseuses in their thirties and forties. When the tourists were still flocking to the city by the millions they employed even more women. None of these gals look terrible. But they probably wouldn’t win any beauty contests either even if one is rather pretty.
That’s all irrelevant anyway as the name of the game here is massage. They all have experience and know how to do a good body rub. They’re also liberal and free with their hands. They tend to bump into the intimate areas quite a bit most likely trying to arouse an opportunity for a larger tip.
When I first started this website there were few others like it. I wanted to report on things as they are. Many more websites came along in the years since. Some have already disappeared. I never minded when new sites open. But I do dislike false reporting. An example would be the websites that claim happy ending massage is rare in Siem Reap. It’s not. Female masseuses in this city will offer hand happy ending to solo male customers more often than not. It’s actually quite routine. Tips range from 10 to 20 US dollars depending on the situation. Not every woman will do it. But many will and of their own volition.
Asian Massage doesn’t really stand out from other shops. But it does offer a good example of what body and oil massage shops in Siem Reap are like. There are slight differences between stores. That often comes down to the staff. The shops pay the ladies to do massages. What they get up to in the rooms is their own choosing. As a decent shop with nice women on staff who aim to please I give Asian Massage two stars.

Appreciate your site. Been living in Cambodia the past 5 years. Just returned from Siem Reap for work. Nature is opened but didn’t get a chance to check it out. However, went across the street to Visal and surprisingly it was full service for $50 including house charge after negotiating. There’s a couple of shops forget the name but across from Pub St and close to Angkor Tacos that at least provides happy endings for about $15-20.
Thanks for the report VS. I am not so surprised about your findings. Cheers!
