Is AV star Rola Takizawa now working as prostitute?

Rola Takizawa (aka Lola Misaki) just made her debut in Japanese AV in late 2012. Yet she has already become something of a celebrity in China. Even in the midst of an ongoing row between Japan and China over a set of uninhabited islands that has launched nationalist protests, attacks and boycotts, Rola Takizawa continues to rise to fame in the People’s Republic.

The pale half-Russian sex starlet Takizawa has an account on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, that has amassed a stunning 13,000,000 followers. Tens of millions of people know here even in a country where Japanese porn, and indeed porn of all kinds, is officially banned.

It’s no surprise then that when the Japanese delivery health sex shop Club Tora no Ana recently announced that it would count Rola among its staff members, countless Chinese fans went wild. And they weren’t the only ones.

It is safe to say that my Chinese skills leave a lot to be desired. Yet even I am aware of the news. So that goes to show you what an impact this announcement had all over the world. And this was in no small part due to the internet and the ability it gives us to commmunicate.

No Chinese allowed?

Chinese language discussion boards were quickly filled with celebratory posts and calls to “head to Tokyo asap!” when it was revealed that the slim beauty would be available for 90 minute sessions at a price of 120,000 Yen ($1300 USD).

Whether or not any of the excited Chinese internet users would actually be able to partake in her services in real life is another question. Although one of the largest in the world, the Japanese sex service industry is notoriously closed off to foreigners. Although some say it is easier for Asian foreigners to get service than westerners, there is no clear proof of that anywhere I have been able to find. In some cases signs are even posted saying “No Chinese.” There are many services open to foreigners, but they are usually not the caliber of Tora no Ana.

Can foreigners have sex with AV stars?

It is possible for foreigners to get service at Club Tora no Ana. Especially if they are well mannered and can speak the Japanese language. But it is fairly doubtful. Customers who have already established a relationship with the club have the best chance of meeting Rola there.

Rola Takizawa’s venture into high class hooking isn’t uncommon. Plenty of Japanese AV stars have been down that road. The internationally known half-Canadian Japanese sexpot Maria Ozawa is rumored to have done a similar stint at a sex shop.

Porn star prostitution elsewhere

In the United States, it is a little less common for porn stars to prostitute on the side. But it does occur. Outside of the escort agencies that dishonestly appropriate the pictures of porn actresses for their advertising, there are confirmed cases of well known porn stars doing the rounds of the small legal sex trade.

For example, the Asian porn legend Mika Tan used to work at the legalized brothels in Nevada on occasion. While there she fucked willing punters who could come up with the cash required.
