Review: Carre D'Ass in Pattaya, Thailand

Carre D’Ass is a gentlemen’s club in Pattaya. While go go bars might get all the attention, Pattaya’s closed-door clubs are arguably more unique and characteristic of the town.

The first gentlemen’s clubs in town sprung up years ago. In the past, I reviewed some of the most notable. That includes places like the nearby Pirate’s, Carre Blanc, and the original Club 4. In more recent years these sorts of bars have started to proliferate. But some have gone almost as fast as others have come.

At one point, I even asked allowed if there weren’t maybe too many gentlemen’s clubs in Pattaya. As it turns out, the answer was a clear no. Because there are now even more of these bars around.

Soi Bongkoch 8, which was once home to just a few of these kinds of facilities, has now become almost its own little “blow row”. Today there are closed door “hands on” bars lining both sides of the street. That includes Carre D’Ass, which is the subject of this review.

Carre D’Ass gentlemen’s club

Carre D’Ass is located on the left side of Soi Bongkoch 8 when traveling from the direction of Soi Bukhao. This is a rather quiet street with the exception of the many gentlemen’s clubs. Most of the clubs are concentrated at one end of the row. Carre D’Ass is further back, next to another club called The Chapel. Though you can also enter the bar ofrom the next street over, since there are doors on both sides.

The place is discreet but still clearly marked. An illuminated sign with the words “Carre D’Ass” over a hand of cards is displayed over the door. This being a private club, you do have to ring the bell to gain admission. Though in my experience you often find a couple of ladies waiting outside who can also accompany you through the doors.

Inside the establishment is medium sized. It’s not as big as a place like Pirate’s or La Poste. But it’s not a tiny little beer bar either. In other words there is ample room to do what you need to do.

There is a standard bar on the left side with stools. In the back right corner there are some comfortable sofas. A curtain can be pulled around that area to make it a little more private. Though in true gentleman club fashion the ladies here aren’t shy about doing their thing out in the open either.

There are maybe a dozen women working in Carre D’Ass on a good night. They seem to outnumber customers by a great deal. At least going by my experience. On my first visit, I was the only man in the bar. This was during the evening on a Friday night.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I don’t think anyone would call the gals working here superstars. They are somewhat average with maybe a couple of more pretty ones on the team. What they do have though is enthusiasm and friendliness. This is the kind of place where a girl might introduce herself by giving your package a nice shake.

Oral action and more is on offer. Suck samples often start right at the bar. So a lady might swallow some of your fluids while you down your first swig of beer. That’s not to say any of this is guaranteed. But it’s not out of the ordinary at all either.

For more open service, you can retire on the couches behind the curtains. Prices are modest and on par with the local industry. Use of the curtained space comes with a 300 Baht ($9 USD) fee. The ladies themselves ask for 800 Baht ($24 USD) for a head job and 200 Baht more for full service. They are happy to work in groups too!

Service and summary

Pattaya has become a popular city. Part of that no doubt has to do with social media. These days bars tend to promote themselves heavily over the various outlets. The truth is that many bars use pictures that don’t honestly reflect their businesses at all.

I haven’t seen much promotion of Carre D’ass. I stumbled across the place accidentally, when heading to another club. As far as I can tell the business has no website. The few pictures I was able to find online accurately portrayed the place. For that I give the bar a lot of credit.

The women working here are warm and welcoming. They give off the classic feeling of the fun Pattaya of years past. Some of them are also quite skilled. For example, a long-necked lady on staff named Daa is more than able to go deep.

Carre D’Ass might be one of the newer bars in Pattaya. Somehow it still manages to provide the energy of the good old days. Prices are reasonable and the staff is good at what they do. It might not be the best or brightest place around. But it can be a really enjoyable place to spend an hour or more. I give it three-and-a-half stars.
