The Spearmint Rhino is one of the largest and most well known strip clubs in the United States. Possibly even the world. Some may go as far as to call this the model that all American strip clubs follow. Despite its prominence however it is far being the best.
While prostitution is legal in the US state of Nevada it is restricted to areas with small populations. Las Vegas is not one of those areas. There are still plenty of prostitutes in Sin City of course. But they are operating outside of the confines of the law. The strip clubs in the city on the other hand are for the most part above board and authorized.
American strip clubs are basically places where women take off some part of their clothes and dance for money. Rules and regulations vary from one place to another. So do the local practices. So you can have a fully nude club in one part of the country while ladies at the Spearmint Rhino never take off more than than their tops. The amount of interaction and physical contact between performers and customers can vary quite a bit too. At the Spearmint Rhino it is low level at best.
The Spearmint Rhino in Vegas
Like most things in Las Vegas, the Spearmint Rhino is big, flashy and designed to take your money. The club is housed in a large and brightly lit bow-front building that looks more like a hotel or small strip club than a titty bar. Like some other clubs in the city the place operates with a two tier pricing system. Locals get in free. Everyone else pays a whopping $43.60 USD entrance fee. Yes that is the exact figure. Drinks are thankfully a lot more reasonable though not cheap at around $10 each.
The Spearmint Rhino is nothing if not well appointed. Inside there is a large open floor. An elevated stage in the middle with a pole is surrounded by comfortable lounge style seating. Some of the chairs don’t even point in the direction of the state. But neither the customers nor the dancers seem to care much about that.
This place can get packed with nearly as many guys inside as dancers. So that tells you the kind of drawing power it has. Or more precisely the drawing power of the dancers that work at the Spearmint Rhino.
Dancers, services and summary
The Spearmint Rhino has no shortage of ladies. There are over two dozen gals dancing on any given night. The dancers range from fit to curvy. A majority of the women are black or white Americans. There are also a lot of Latina ladies. There may be just one or two Asian dancers. Most guys would probably find them all attractive though there is a lot of tattoo coverage and silicone in play. So this is not the place to see the girl next door get naughty.
Hand-in-hand with this is the hustler mentality of the ladies. These gals are out for your wallet and they make no qualms about that. Sure everyone in the commercial sex industry wants to make money. But there are different ways to approach things. The best performances in the game make customers feel like they are loved. The worst ignore their clients and look at their phones. Somewhere towards the middle are the mechanical ones who make everything feel like a cold and calculated transaction. That’s the way it is at the Spearmint Rhino. It’s made all the worse by the never ceasing presence of hulking bouncers who look like they want nothing more than to throw somebody out the door.
The personal dances come in a variety of forms. There are apparently table dances available though no one was offering them during my visit. Instead there were expensive private dances on offer with full social distancing. These basically amounted to watching a woman dance two meters away with her top off. My eyes aren’t what they used to be though so at that distance I can’t actually be sure she did pop her tits out. Or that she was even there at all!
The Spearmint Rhino is widely considered to be one of the best strip clubs in the United States. If that it is true it doesn’t say much for the state of the industry. With so many other forms of adult entertainment vying for the consumer’s dollar it surprises me that these kinds of places can continue to draw in crowds. Perhaps I am different. But I can only write from my own perspective. I give the Spearmint Rhino in Las Vegas a half star. I much prefer the club of the same name in Angeles City. Or even the Hustler Club located right in the same city.
