Infinity is a very popular hostess bar in Phnom Penh. Taking over the spot of the former I Get You Bar the people behind this business have really put their all into it. The attitude and investment of the management is reflected in the lively atmosphere found inside.
Infinity is popular with customers from all over the world. With a wide appeal it is not necessary oriented toward any particular group. It is common for the bar to be full or even somewhat crowded on any given night.
There is an above average level of engagement here. The well staffed bar has everything from dancing bar girls to branded t-shirts on sale. The many women working at Infinity tend to be attractive and very well dressed as well.
Location and layout
Infinity bar is located amongst many other bars on Street 136. This bar is on the north side of the road near the corner with Street 5. It is one block back from the riverside. A red sign with white letters rests over the entrance. Though the place is still somewhat easy to miss.
Infinity has a pretty standard layout for a Cambodian hostess bar. It is certainly not as elaborate as a place like Ostex 136. Instead its more fitting with the classical style. What does that mean? The bar has a couple of tables with plastic chairs out front. Inside there is a bar top and stools to the side. The rest of the floor is filled with comfortable chair seating and a pool table.
Yet this place is not exactly run of the mill. There are some poles on the bar where women dance pretty regularly. There is also a more private seating area in the loft. This place tends to have more of a party atmosphere than some other bars too.
Staff, prices and summary
Prices at Infinity are about average though they do have some good deals. A can of beer costs $2 USD. Though drafts are just a dollar each during happy hour. Lady drinks are $4 USD and the barfine is $10. These are standard prices for the local industry.
A very good number of women work at Infinity considering the size of the bar. Twenty ladies can be found inside on a good night. There is a decent range here. I’ve seen attractive women in their twenties on up to older and larger women in their thirties on staff. They tend to wear nice dresses of a matching color which I always find intriguing.
A lot of the gals working here are keen to leave the bar with customers. That doesn’t mean that every lady will go to the room of any guy who asks. But barfines are more common here than in some other bars where the majority of women focus on making money through drinks and tips. The women at Infinity tend to ask for anything between 50 and 100 for a private rendezvous. These days that too is pretty standard.
Infinity is a popular hostess bar in the hopping riverside area. It manages to draw in customers night after night. That says something about the quality of the bar. The exciting atmosphere and bar top dancing is nothing something you see at every bar in town. Though otherwise it follows the usual model. This place may be a little better than average. Though not by much. I give it three stars.
