Happiness is a Thai massage parlor in Tokyo that offers body rubs and happy endings. The shop doesn’t openly advertise itself as an adult entertainment facility. Yet the reality is that women working inside tend to offer hand service to customers in exchange for tips.

That is not to say that they don’t give a good massage. The body rubs done here are pretty good all considered. You could probably find a much better authentic Thai massage in Bangkok or Pattaya. It would also cost a lot less in the Land of Smiles. But this is Tokyo.
Thai massage in Ikebukuro
Happiness Thai Massage is located a very short walk from Ikebukuro Station. Like many Tokyo businesses, it is housed well above street level in a multi-shop building. The only indication of the store’s presence are a sign on the street and another on the wall of the building.
The door at Happiness stays locked. To enter, you simply ring the bell. The one of the Thai ladies inside will let you through the front door. After removing your shoes and choosing a service from the menu you will be led into a small cubicle with a mattress.
You can choose from a Traditional Thai Massage, Oil Massage or Relax Set Massage. Those wanting a handjob with their body rub would most likely select an oil massage. Though the offer for a stroke would probably also come with with the Thai massage option.
The prices here are reasonable considering the area and local industry. A one hour oil massage costs 8000 Yen ($52 USD). This is around what a Thai massage would cost in any developed country around the world.
Staff, service, summary
Although the place is small and sparse it is exceptionally clean and quiet. The walls of the massage cubicles do not go all the way up the ceiling. So all communication is done in hushed tones.
There are a surprisingly large number of women working at Happiness. At least according to the shop’s website. You might only encounter one or two women when you are actually inside. There seems to be quite the variety in looks. I can confirm that at least one is an attractive lady in her twenties with a good body.
The women at Happiness can speak Thai, Japanese and English. So doing business is easy. Getting erotic services can be too. Typically a masseuse will simply ask if you want a dick massage when you are nearing the end of your time. They do request a tip for the service though it is negligible and probably negotiable too. A 5000 Yen ($32 USD) tip seems to satisfy.
The surroundings, the staff, and the service at Happiness might not be anything to write home about. Still it is a straightforward place offering body rubs and a little extra. The gals who work here seem to be a hardworking bunch. There isn’t much to complain about. But a place like this can fade into the background of a city like Tokyo. I think it’s fair to give the place a solid two-and-a-half stars.
