Wild Things is a gentlemen’s club on Soi 6 in Pattaya. Yes you read that correctly. This is a closed door gentlemen’s club style setup right in the heart of the infamous Soi 6. Why is this so surprising? Pattaya regulars may already be aware.
For one thing the trend on “the six” in recent years has been towards the open party bar format. Indeed in Pattaya and the Thai adult entertainment scene as a whole the focus has been shifting more towards drinking and partying than sensual services.
Old school “anything goes” bars have been torn down to make way for beer swilling bars that just so happen to employ some ladies. Sure a guy might take a lady upstairs here and there if he is sober enough. But even then it is just an after thought. The days of topless ladies dancing on bar tops while others slob knobs on their knees in dark corners are dwindling.
This all makes sense for bars. After all they make their money from drinks and to a much lesser extent bar fines. But this would only benefit customers if they preferred downing booze to banging babes. As they say, different strokes for different folks. But the main attraction of the girly bars to me has always been the women.
Where the Wild Things are
Wild Things is located on the top end of Soi 6 on the opposite side from the beach. The bar is located just a few meters in on the left hand side when coming from Second Road. The club is directly across the street from Good Fellas in the space Tornado Bar once occupied. It is easy to find with the name of the bar written in white lettering over blacked out glass doors.
Inside Wild Things is a large, spacious, and well designed bar. It is clear from the outset that some serious thought and experience went into the construction of this club. Yet the owners aren’t trying to recoup their outlay with overpriced drinks. A bottled beer is 105 Baht and the ladydrinks are just a little more at 150 ($4.25 USD).
A small concrete bar sits in the back right corner. The rest of the ground floor space is taken up for a series of well spread out and comfortable tables and booths. This is a great sign that the focus here is on spending time with ladies rather than sitting on bar stools and holding drinks. Still there is more to come.
Up the stairs sits a second floor where the real fun takes place. And no I am not talking about the standard set of short time rooms. There is a full entertainment area here complete with another bar, plenty of comfortable booth seating, two stages, and solid flat tables where ladies can dance and more.
What more? Well the ladies at Wild Things put on a nude show that is up close and personal as long as there are guys in the seats. Interactivity is as welcome as tips. Which means that this bar could be described as a sort of gentlemen’s club slash hands-on go go bar hybrid. And it can become quite the fun place!
A truly stellar setup
All told Wild Things has what is arguably the best setup of any bar on Soi 6 in Pattaya. With the interactive play area upstairs it may even have the best setup of any gentlemen’s club in the city. It is like visiting Windmill only with lower prices.
The ladies at Wild Things ask around 1000 Baht ($29 USD) for short time in the on-premise private rooms which themselves run 400 Baht. This compares nicely to a place like Windmill where ladies usually want 3000 on top of the larger barfine. Of course Windmill has tons of ladies on staff. Wild Thing has somewhere between ten and perhaps 14 women working on any given night.
Since Soi 6 is not exactly overflowing with punters these days that is not really a problem. At the moment it seems there is always at least two woman per customer at the bar, and usually more than that. But if things pick up they will certainly need to hire more ladies.
Of course like most bars in Thailand, and apparently most business around the world these days, Wild Things is hiring. So they are clearly putting in the effort. If the bar manages to add several more attractive or at least average ladies to the roster I can imagine this place becoming one of the most popular bars on Soi 6.
Since I lack a working crystal ball I can only look at a place as it is. Wild Things is an incredibly well laid out and well done Soi 6 bar. The idea behind the place is just as good. The prices are even better. As a fan of Pattaya gentlemen’s clubs and the old school Pattaya style I have to admit I have high hopes for this place. As is it stands I think Wild Things deserves a solid four-and-a-half stars.

Wild Things did not last long as it has closed already, the bar has been sold and is being renovated, it should open again by the end of April with a new name. All the girls have left and the new owner is going to change things somewhat. The downstairs bar will be opened up onto the street and the furnishings changed to look more like the other big bars on the street but the upstairs area will continue to operate as it was originally intended.
