I recently interviewed New York-based urban porn producer Mr Rick Nasty for the latest installment of my series of interviews with people in the sex industry. I hesitate to use the term “urban” but in this case it seems at least fitting since he lives in New York City and one of the sites he runs is called Urban Amateurs. We got into a number of subjects ranging from internet porn to the status of the street walker scene in the Bronx made famous by the HBO network. Enjoy.
When did you see your first porn?
I seen my first porn around maybe 11 or 12, can’t really remember. But I think it was around that age.
How did you get into porn? Were you involved in swinging before?
I got in the porn game around 2009. My uncle was suppose to start a company, but he didn’t know exactly what he was doing. So I kinda just started filming stuff, and doing my own thing. I never been a swinger.
Can people still make money with porn with all the tube and download sites?
Hmm, this is a good question, and here is my answer. There is money to be made in the business, but people come in the business with the wrong idea and the wrong expectations. Please understand that the tube sites and all those other free sites do take away from the profit, but in some cases it helps to promote your material. Now the only way to survive in this business is to have more than one website.
People want more for their money, so you have to give them more. I have seen several people come into the business, with the best looking girls, good material, good marketing, good everything, and 6 months later, they are out the business. Because they felt the money wasn’t coming fast enough. Or because people didn’t respond the way they felt people should have.
Here is a secret to any porn site. You will know if your website is successful within the first 2 weeks. When something is good and has a market, it doesn’t take people a long time to catch on to it.
How do you find models? Is it hard to find girls who will take multiple cocks on video?
This is a good question, haha. I wont give out all the secrets, but to be honest, this business and life style is not for everyone. If it was , every guy that wants to do this would be doing it. I find girls all over, on the street on line, etc.. I even hand out cards, and I pulled a few good ones handing out the cards. No it isn’t that hard to get them to take on two dudes at a time, haha.
Do your friends and family know what you do? Has your adult work ever caused you any problems in your personal life?
Yes, my family knows exactly what I do, and so do my close friends. My work hasn’t really caused a problem in my personal life as of yet. But we will see.
What’s the best thing that ever happened at a porn shot you were on? What’s the worst?
Damn, so many good things have happened on set, its hard to pin point one thing. The worst thing has to be a guy I hired couldn’t perform, and that shit was the worst. It almost made me want to get out the business haha.
Who is your favorite porn star of all time?
Hmm, female performers: Kelly Star and Sky Black. Male performers: Wesley Pipes, Justin Slayer, and Devlin Weed.
Favorite website?
Chase.com haha
What do you think about prostitution?
Well, I don’t feel that it should be illegal. And it think its only illegal because it cant be taxed! I feel that what happens between two adults is their business. Trading sex for money or other things goes on all the time. The real question is, whats the difference between porn and prostitution? But we will save that for another time.
Describe the perfect woman.
My perfect women is sexy, good personality, goal orientated, submissive but has her own mind, humorous,
respects herself as well as others. I am really into personalities.
You’re from the Bronx right? What’s the pay-for-sex scene like there? Are the street whores still working Hunts Point like they did in those HBO specials back in the day?
Haha, I am from Harlem homie. But the sex for pay scene [in the Bronx] is kinda dead haha. They cleaned a lot of those areas up. Everything is on line, chat lines, and social networks etc..
Thanks for doing this interview. Are there sites you would like my readers to check out?

this guy is a douchebag
Thanks for the comment.
Not him but the dudes that works for him.
Thanks for the comment.
Saw some of his content. Not my “cup of tea’ but whatever works for him. I think he’s taken his game to the next level that previous content producers like D.Wise (r.i.p.) started in the urban genre. You can read about the late D. Wise here: https://www.bklynr.com/not-quite-barely-legal/
What I would like to see is an improvement in the production quality of many of these videos and content. Granted, the business models are mostly “run and gun” and/or “gonzo” but it is also time for the urban genre to evolve to the next level in terms of cinematography and production values.
Just my take
Thanks for the well considered comment. I wouldn’t mind seeing higher production models like those used in Japan in other areas. But the nitty gritty stuff can be good too. Cheers.
