Femme Fatale is an S&M themed bar in Tokyo, Japan. The staff is made up of several Japanese women who speak little-to-no English. Though they are quite welcoming to foreigners in my experience.
I am not exactly sure how this place would characterized by Japanese people. Though I guess they would call it a “girl’s bar”. I would classify it as a sort of interactive hostess bar. The place is obviously based on a bondage concept. Though it is also a place that serves drinks.
In other words this is a place where you can stop in for a drink. There are ladies on staff. Most of them are dresses in some sort of BDSM related garb. There’s also a lot of paraphernalia around.
They do their best to entertain. Whether that means you just chat or get bent over the bar for some discipline is totally up to you.
SM Bar Femme Fatale
Femme Fatale is located just out of Ikebukuro Station’s West Exit (North). It’s on the second floor of a small building that also houses some other businesses.
The area is a mix of adult and mainstream businesses. The signage for Femme Fatale is clear and in English. But it can still get lost in the sea of bright neon lights that illuminate the land of the rising sun.
The entrance is an opaque door with a sign. Passing through that takes you down a very short corridor into the actual bar space. There you find an L-shaped bar with stools.
A combination of Japanese men and women can be found. The gals are mostly bar staff in various pleather and leather outfits. The guys are a small group of regular customers who are quite friendly. I have also seen an attractive “regular” Japanese woman drinking here. I wish I knew more about that story!

I normally like to get familiar with a place before I review it. However there are times when I have to make a snap judgement based on a single visit or observation. That is the case here.
Admittedly I have only been to Femme Fatale once. As luck would have it I stopped in while they were having a group meal! I failed to see the writing on the door that reads “Fetish Bar & Kitchen”.
To their credit the gals invited me to join in and dine together. Of course I was looking for more erotic entertainment. That was on offer too. But at least when I visited it seemed to take second fiddle.
I was surprised by how attractive a few of the ladies on staff were. There are a couple of real lookers here. One even appeared in a magazine. Another told me she was paid to dominate an American man for years. She ended the relationship when he “fell in love”.
There seem to be a lot more “doms” than “submissives” on staff here. The customers appear to be more into serving than giving orders. Whips, chains, shackles and dildos are on hand for whatever they get up to. I was offered the chance to be locked up myself. Though I didn’t take them up on the offer.
More direct sensual services were not available. At least not in any way that was apparent to me. From what I gathered at least some of the women working here do outside work as models and dominatrixes.
It might sound strange but Femme Fatale is a sort of cozy neighborhood bar. It’s not as big as a place like Bar Bar in Bangkok by any means. Though the people inside seem to be more dedicated to the idea of bondage than the pursuit of profits. I imagine locals into the scene would love it. For me it was just another experience. Two stars.
