Recently I came across an article entitled “11 Kinky Things to Do With Your Girlfriend” on another website. As anyone who has read Rockit Reports regularly would probably know I spend a lot of time scouring the web for new and exciting information. In the process I come across a lot of the old and worn out too of course.
As I got to thinking about all the kinky things to do I started asking myself some questions that may or may not be rhetorical. You don’t have to answer them yourself to see what I am getting at.
Why do people want to get kinky anyway? What percentage of people actually want to get kinky? Do more people who read this site get into kinky things than the general population as a hole? Is kinky sexual activity getting more popular? At what point does kinky sexual behavior became so mainstream that it is no longer kinky but simply normal? After all, Fifty Shades of Grey has brought in hundreds of millions of dollars around the world in its various permutations.
And more! Would moving out of the bed be the first step toward breaking the mold and getting kinky? Would getting kinky with a girlfriend be the same as getting kinky with a wife? What if the wife was from Russia with love?
I wonder how many patrons of the commercial sex industry around the world partake in kinky activities. And even that question depends on what is kinky. Different people would have very different answers. In a lot of countries where sex work is perhaps most common even if it goes unnoticed by many outsides the typical commercial sex transaction seems to involve a quick bit of vaginal intercourse in one or many two positions. That is how it goes in countless local brothels across huge countries like China and India not to mention smaller venues like the “chicken shacks” in Cambodia.
Even many of the regulars who either patronize their local sex workers and adult entertainment venues or get their rocks off in a similar way when in other parts of the world stick what is more or less vanilla activities it seems. How many guys truly veer far from the blowjob and vaginal intercourse model even when they are paying?
In some Western countries the BDSM dominatrices seem to be among the most common or at least most visible sorts of sex workers. Is that because people in those countries are looking for more kinky things to do out of boredom? Or is this a result of strange laws and methods of enforcement that make mistresses less likely to be targets of law enforcement?
These are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night at least when I’m not exhausted from a day full of research. If these sorts of questions didn’t pop into my mind so effortlessly there is a chance that I would rest a lot better. At the same time there is an even better chance that this website wouldn’t exist at all.
These questions like all others can conceivably be answered even if the resources and tools required to solve these riddles are not currently available. Still I will continue on in my efforts at least in the immediate future as I feel impelled to do so. This can’t be all that much different from the feelings that drive people to do kinky things, or maybe not to do them.
I like this kind of open ended post, Rockit. No link to a whack shack, but an invitation to exchange thoughts.
I too wonder what is kinky and what drives them? If my girl wants me to push harder than normal, or to nibble her nipples with my teeth not just my lips, is that Kinky? I wouldn’t be shocked if she said “let’s pretend you rape me”. That’s a fantasy, but doesn’t turn me on.
I’ve never covered up the fact that I’m bi (well, I actually covered it even from myself for nearly 50 years!); is that a “kink” or just part of my sexuality that sometimes I like a guy on my cock? And whereas the kinkiest thing I can think of is getting a blowjob with a tongue up my ass or doing anal with a girl or a guy, WTF with handcuffs, ballgags, etc?
I’ve heard it’s about control. Some get off on giving up complete control of themselves during sex because out in the Real World they are constantly in control of work, life, etc.
So, is liking a tongue up my ass kinky? Or only if it happens while my hands are cuffed? This is the stuff of Left Bank philosophers.
And this gets right to the point. In some parts of the world, rimming is standard and is not considered kinky at all! Cheers.
Vietnam, for one. I don’t pay extra as I have to in Thailand.
PS I meant to say I WOULD be surprised if the GF asked for rape fantasy. That’s a bridge too far for me.
There are some places in Thailand where rimming is more or less standard. Thailand has a lot of variation. In some places a rape fantasy is apparently common among women though obviously fantasy is not reality. Cheers.
