Today I am proud to present an interview with Macy Nihongo. This is the latest in my long string of interviews with people in the sex industry. I have been doing these question and answer sessions for the better part of a decade at this point. Although I didn’t publish any interviews at all in 2018, I still think they have a lot to offer. That’s why they continue to appear here on a somewhat regular basis.
Macy Nihongo is a porn star from Thailand who is very interesting. She’s probably the first Thai-born woman I have encountered who puts out her own adult videos. She is involved in production and promotion from top to bottom. And she puts out some unique content that obviously appeals to a lot of people. As she notes, one of her videos has been viewed over a million times!
I am happy to note that Macy is a very warm and kind person. She gladly accepted my invitation to do this interview. I think it turned out very well and it gives real insight into her development as a porn performer and a person.
Hello. I normally start by asking the same thing. How old are you and where are you from?
Hi. I’m 36 years old. I’m from Thailand but I’m half-Japanese, half-Thai.
What was your first sexual experience?
I was really young and with other girls we play together. It was more like a game and kids fun to discover new things but we already touch pussies, body, kissing. I think I was 12 or 13 years old. I have friends tomboy and lesbian, some older than me, who introduced me to adult things. It was a really great time. I feel good with them but I still attract more to man.
Do you remember the first time you saw porn? Can you tell us what that was like?
My friend showed me magazine and VHS video. I was really excited and wonder about naked guys and girls also. We tried act like them we use different vegetables instead of real dick.
When did you decide to get into doing porn?
It’s a sad story with a happy ending. Five years ago I worked in office. Regular job like many other Thai people have. If you know the real situation on salary in Thailand you know it’s very low and to survive you need save every Baht. I already had my three-year-old daughter who has needs and wishes like every kid. One day she saw other kids at Mcdonald’s and she said to me, “Mommy I want a hamburger.” When I checked my pocket I had just 20 Baht; not even enough for a hamburger. It motivated me to do it something for myself and my daughter. Not care what other people say but start selling my pictures and videos online.
What are the best and worst things about porn?
For sure the best things it’s money. No question about it. But it’s work like any other. You need to learn new things and put a lot of attention, hours, and marketing in to be effective with it. It’s like real business. Invest in tools, camera, laptop and pay photographer. Later find a customer for content and have contact with them on social media.
It’s totally different work compared to escorting which is very popular in Thailand. Money comes more often when you publish your content. People subscribe for even one year and you need to make daily or weekly videos. For sure you need to like this way of work to fully enjoy and grow in this industry and have a brand with followers to earn good money.
I don’t see negative things about it. I never had any bad experiences in my business. I know some girls care of the opinions of others. I just didn’t have bad feedback maybe that’s why I feel good about it.
Do your family and friends know about your work?
Yes they know about my work. Maybe that’s why I don’t have any problem what other people think because my family and friends know and they support me in my carrier; always wish me well. I have my friends who are on my marketing team and photographers so it helps me a lot to be where I am right now.
Are you ever recognized by fans in the streets? If so, what is that like?
Ha ha! Yes, many times. Always a very nice experience. They are very happy to see me not only online. Some people are shy to say “hi,” so they send me messages on social media. Last time even the tuk tuk driver in Chiang Mai who drove me to airport said he is my fan, but sadly I didn’t get a free trip. Ha ha.
What is the most popular scene you have done so far?
I follow the needs of my fans. On my Twitter and my OnlyFans, the most popular video is called “anal sex in the kitchen”. More than one million people saw this video. So yeah I think it’s the most popular so far.
What do you think about prostitution in Thailand?
I don’t have any specific opinion about this. I know it exist in every place on the world. Thailand is a tourist spot. I also know about go go bars and the like.
I’m doing different business and to be honest not many girls wanna put effort to earn money on this way because it’s long term process not one night job and money. I have friends who shift from escorting and bar job to porn business and so far they are very happy. They don’t need to go out with random guys. No risk, more freedom and they can work anytime not only on night time what is very tiring in the long term. But everyone need to experience and see the porn business from a different perspective.
How long do you continue to do porn? Do we have anything special to look forward to?
I’m five years into this business. Starting from a porn model for others to making my own content and marketing model to sell my videos, even through live cams which was also a nice experience. Throughout my carrier I found many different ways to earn money in this business: social media promotion, creating video, finding talents and teaching other people about this taboo business.
I always had so many messages from other models, digital marketers, producers and random people who wanto to know more about the porn business. So I started teaching others about this. I put whole my experience into online consultation and video where I teach people how to earn an extra $1000 to $2000 a month from this industry. It’s very interesting because many people are working on it already but they don’t have enough tools and knowledge about it. People who already earn don’t want to share so I decide to give a lot of advice for free on my social media.
