Allow me to wish all readers of Rockit Reports a happy new year for whatever that is worth. When I first started this site back in 2012 I had no idea that it would eventually be viewed by tens of millions of people all around the world. As I’ve stated in past posts my original intention was simply to share some of the information that I had picked up along my travels in an organized way. Since I didn’t see any other websites really doing that I thought that some people might be interested. It turns out that more than a few are and continue to be.
That’s not to say that there were and are no informational websites out there. Besides the usual dry and academic stuff there are also a number of long lasting forums that defy the odds and continue to remain lively and vibrant even in the age of social media. I guess discussion of Bangladeshi brothels is not exactly the kind of conversation people want to have in full view of the public on Facebook.
Forums often contain all sorts of information that is for the most part based on first hand experiences of the users. There can be issues. Some people give out false information or even make things up completely. Besides that a lot of the information is quickly lost in the shuffle of back and forth chatter and a never ending barrage of questions posed by so-called newbies. People looking to learn about the sex industry in Manila for example may have to dig through dozens of pages of posts to really figure anything out.
Now there are an increasing number of travel style blogs online run by guys who talk about their lives and lifestyles including their sexual exploits too. Truth be told I am not a fan of some of these sites which seem to be based on an underlying hatred of women. Others can be fun to read and interesting to view. I look at them all from time to time though I much prefer spending time with a good looking lady than reading about the time a guy broke a rubber with a street hooker he picked up on Sukhumvit Soi 4.
Everyone has or at least should have the right to voice their thoughts. The internet has made that possible for many people. Those of us who have free minds and fingers also have the ability to ignore what we don’t want to view. Isn’t it a wonderful world?
As the we enter this new year we can express wishes for all sorts of things. Since wishing usually has about the same result of increasing bank account savings purely with the power of prayer I would prefer to use the time to roughly lay out plans for this site moving forward.
The increased publishing schedule put into effect here in late 2015 has been discontinued. The site is now back to putting out five to six posts a month. For a few months the number of posts was doubled. This required much more time and effort but had little results. Traffic didn’t really increase much at all. It seems that the normal schedule is a sort of “sweet spot” that works as well for readers as it does for the writer.
Coverage of places throughout Asia will continue as they have since this website first went online. A few new Asian cities and countries that have not yet been mentioned on Rockit Reports will most likely be added to the mix.
Coverage will also continue to expand. Some more reports on the scene in Europe are scheduled for publication and there is a good chance that some information on the Americas will also appear here. Of course everything depends on circumstances and the way the wind blows. Events can change from one day to the next even when a plan is in place.
Ultimately the main goal is to continue to regularly publish the kinds of things that people who view this website enjoying reading. As long as the efforts spent researching and writing the material continue to be rewarding there is no reason for that to stop anytime soon. So here’s to another year. Cheers.
Happy new year, man! I can’t remember when or where I first discovered your blog, but it was “early days” for sure (at least 2013) and I have enjoyed following along for the ride!
Wishing you the best in health and fortune, and that there always be an undiscovered spot waiting for that Rockitreport coverage! – Jack
Thanks for the well wishes and continued support. I look forward to your comments in the new year. Cheers.
No other site comes close. It blows the “competition” out of the water.
“I much prefer spending time with a good looking lady than reading about the time a guy broke a rubber with a street hooker” = My thoughts exactly
Thanks for the kind words. I hope that you will continue to read and comment here. Cheers!
Rockit Man, I wish you Health, Happiness and Success for year 2017. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words. Cheers.
Happy New Years to you and your crew…I have one suggestion, You said that you will be adding new content this year. Will that content be about the trade in the Middle East? Sex Tourism is low key, but rapid in the Middle East. It would be really cool if someone reviewed more about it. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for the comment. There are no plans to report on that area in the near future but who knows what will happen. Cheers.
Happy New Year to Rockit. As a fellow traveler, I have enjoyed your reports so much that my life style has changed a bit.
Someday I will go back to the old style of having a real gf and continue traveling for more cultures than sex. I think it is more of a good read for entertainment than the actual trying out on some of the places mentioned here. I am now concerned about catching STDs through BBBJ as I heard it is still risky. I may have to use covered sex for even oral for now. Cheers!
Thanks for the comment. Indeed this site has never been intended as anything other than a source of entertainment. Cheers.
