More Japanese porn stars becoming prostitutes

Mariza ozawa prostitute

Maria Ozawa. Available for pay-for-play action? Maybe.

The ongoing recession continues to take it’s toll. But while it’s causing serious problems for millions, it is also making the sexual dreams of some of those with enough money possible.

I reported earlier that Japan’s prostitution was poised for more action at lower rates. It turns out the report was right on the money. In the adult-oriented news in Japan recently have been stories about a 29-year-old high-school teacher busted for turning tricks after hours, the closure of many high end sex-selling shops, and a huge decline in sales of prostitution-oriented publications like the popular Manzoku.

Now comes news of an increasing number of high end Japanese AV (adult video) stars, including the world-famous Maria Ozawa, making themselves available to guys with enough money to spend in the massive field of prostitution in Tokyo.

I actually came across a profile for Maria Ozawa at a top hostess club in Japan a while back. It was quite clear that she was a special star there, and you’d have to be Japanese and have plenty of cash to even have a chance at sitting with her.  That’s if it was even legit. Reports as far back as 2009 said she had appeared on the sites on some clubs, but it was never really made clear whether or not this was just done for publicity.

But whether or not the half-Canadian beauty Ozawa, who is now a mainstream movie star in Asia, is really available at Tokyo’s Club Tora no Ana at a rate of 150,000 Yen for 70 minutes (around $1500 US at the moment), one thing is for sure, many other AV actresses are making their sexual services available to the general public.

Back in February, I wrote that the famous Japanese porn starlet Rola Takizawa started working as a prostitute. She has since been joined by a host of others.

According to Weekly Playboy, a popular men’s magazine in Japan, a number of AV actresses are working for deri heru (delivery health – basically places that send an escort to you, either at your home or more likely a love hotel) agencies.

The publication says standard AV women go for 30,000 – 50,000 Yen a session, while the well known stars can command as much as 90,000 – 200,000.

Retired AV star Nayuka Mine explained the situation to Weekly Playboy.  “It is …. pretty mainstream for not-so-famous AV girls to be employed in the fuzoku trade,” she said.  “However, it is rare for someone of this level to make a deri heru debut.”

Among those high-profile actresses said to be engaged in the trade now is the busty AV star Hiyori Shiraishi. But don’t get your hopes up on sticking your wiener in either her or Maria.

Much of the massive sex sale trade in Japan is already off limits for foreign visitors, especially if they don’t speak the language. In cases of stars like Nayuka Mine, a lot of normal Japanese guys are excluded too. Even if they have the high amount of money needed, Japanese punters can’t simply roll in with a condom rolled on and get ready to rock.

A knowledgeable adult writer in Japan writes, “In order to reserve a popular actress there are steps involved. First, you have to be a regular. If the shop accepts a customer unfamiliar with appropriate behavior they will receive a claim from the actress’ agency or film production company. A minimum of ten visits with other girls is going to be necessary.”

If you have the chance to carry through the necessary steps though, the effort will probably be worth it. According the editor of one adult publication, “The girls are very professional. …. These methods aren’t ordinary; the girls take the appropriate time and have great pride in their work. They are true pros.”

Why are these top level stars making themselves available at all? It’s simple, says an AV industry insider.  “They either want extra cash or really like sex. With the recession, the money AV gals receive is on the decline. Until a couple of years ago, film appearance fees ranged between 3 and 4 million yen. Now it is around 2 or 3 million yen. At a deri heru club you can take in 400,000 yen a day — pretty good for side work.”
